Students tailgate final baseball game
Traditionally, tailgates at Harding only take place at football games in the fall. However, the Harding baseball team is getting clubs to tailgate at their game today. This game against Arkansas Tech is the start of the Bison’s final regular-season series of the year.

The University announced Dr. Michael D. Williams as Harding’s sixth president at a press conference on Oct. 27. Since then, Williams has continued his role as president at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama. As announced in October, Williams will begin his tenure as Harding University president on June 1, 2022.
The Ganus Building is scheduled to be demolished and replaced by the new Holland-Waller Center, bringing changes to departments and programs on campus. Some faculty have fond memories of the Ganus Building, but they are excited for change.
Bryce Corporation announced last Wednesday that the company would invest $80 million into expanding its operations in Searcy. With First Security Bank’s new tech center expected to be completed in 2023 as well, over 250 new jobs are predicted to enter Searcy within five years.
Associate professor of English Dr. Amy Qualls has been chosen to serve a two year appointment as faculty fellow in the Honors College. Qualls has been a part of Harding’s faculty for 11 years, with several of those spent also teaching Honors Symposium over the summer.
