Cookies are a powerful little treat. With all the ingredients of love, happiness, warmth and sugar, they can make a day, make a great gift and even make a meal if you choose. Great news for Searcy residents and Harding students has come in the form of cookies, with two new bakery locations selling original products and creating one-of-a-kind desserts for any occasion.
TOOkies, located at 1229 W. Beebe Capps, has been present online through their Etsy account services but recently opened their store front location. The company sells their delectable creations of jar cakes, gourmet marshmallows and their special “cookiewiches,” which consist of two cookies joined by a thick layer of buttercream frosting or ganache. The store also creates custom labels for any occasion, as well as custom colors for cookies, marshmallows and packaging.
The Plum Peacock, located at 213 W. Arch Suite B, is also taking stage in the Searcy baking scene. With incredible hand-decorated cookies, The Plum Peacock provides their products for gifts, favors and events and collaborates with customers on ideas for custom designs. The store also sells drinks and cakes as well.
TOOkies is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Fridays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. TOOkies can be reached at (501)-380-8427, tookies2u@gmail.com, www.tookies.etsy.com, www.facebook.com/tookiesss and on Twitter and Instagram at @tookiesss.
