In Genesis 1:28, God gives us the responsibility to take care of the Earth that He has blessed us with. You might think that since you are in college, there just isn’t a way for you to contribute to this task, but this is actually one of the best places for you to play your part in completing the duty of helping our planet become a little greener.
Harding University has set a “Go Green” program in place to play our part in making our planet a greener place. There are paper and plastic recycling bins in each dorm and academic building. The university also recycles shredded paper, cardboard and aluminum cans.
The university prefers that students and faculty place cardboard beside the paper-recycling bin where it can be sorted more easily.
Low-flow commodes and sinks are constantly replacing old sinks and commodes as needed.
Aramark Facility Services manages all of the university’s recycling programs.
