All over the runways, new trends are sprouting just in time for spring 2013. This year is about being bold and bright.
Making a comeback, middle-parted hair is hot on the runways and quite a few celebrities have been rocking this look that many of us unwillingly wore as children.
Ruffles are also a blast from the past that we are starting to see in the fashion world. Peplum tops add a grown-up edge to the trend and denim-on-denim is another throwback that is making its reappearance in the fashion world. Mixing light and dark hues of denim is a “do” this spring.
Bright colors and bold, funky sunglasses are just a couple of fun ways to make a statement this spring and once again, tribal, Indian and African inspired prints and patterns are popular for the upcoming season.
Chunky stripes and lightweight plaid are going to be seen this spring as well. Designers are also pushing black and white, trying to stop the assumption that black and white outfits are only for winter wardrobes. It is appropriate year round, ladies.
Patterned, bright Bermuda shorts are also going to be popular this spring along with chevron patterns, color blocked blouses and eyelet patterned dresses.
As far as accessories go, cross bracelets, arrowhead necklaces and light, patterned infinity scarves are hot items this season. Bright, fruity colored clutches will also make a statement. Low heels and flats are on trend for spring as well.
