On Friday March 1, CAB is hosting the Gimmie Gimmie Talent Show for the student body.
CAB staff decided to put on the talent show after they received a suggestion to bring back the tradition from a few years ago. There is a new twist to this talent show: it is going to be videoed so that students can watch their peers perform their talents even after the event is over. It is still going to be a live event, and CAB encourages everyone to come show support for their fellow students.
Senior Sydney Warren is a co-director for the show and believes that people should sign up to participate because it will be fun.
“This will be a really cool opportunity for people to come together,” Warren said. “For all of us to come together.”
When thoughts of a talent show come up, a popular talent is singing, but this talent show will have that and even more.
Junior Val LaFerney, who is also planning the talent show, was encouraged by the variety of talents that have signed up for the talent show.
“There is a guy who is going to balance a ladder on his face,” LaFerney said. “And I think that is why people should come to the talent show.”
The Gimmie Gimmie Talent Show will be a live event also filmed for a video. The winner will be chosen by a panel of judges as well as the student body. The winner will receive $250 and VIP tickets to the Ben Rector concert on March 7.
