Whether you’re staying in Searcy for fall break or simply looking for a spooky weekend this October, there are plenty of haunted houses nearby to give you your fright fix. Here are five suggestions:
1. The Torture Chamber
Location: 3805 Benton Parkway; Benton, Arkansas
Hours: Wednesday-Thursday, 7-10 p.m., Friday-Saturday, 7 p.m.-midnight

The Torture Chamber is designed to focus on fears and phobias. This is its ninth year of operation, and it has been the number one haunted house in Central Arkansas for the last six years. It is open Oct. 16-18, 22-26, 29- 31 and Nov. 1.
2.The Old Haunted Warehouse
Location: 3400 Brown Street; Little Rock, Arkansas
Hours: 7-11 p.m.
Price: $12, $15 on Halloween

The Old Haunted Warehouse is themed as a haunted penitentiary, home to the ghosts of executed criminals. It is pitch black inside, and guests are armed only with a glow stick. It is open Oct. 10,11,17,18,24,25,30, 31 and Nov. 1.
3. Fear Factory 501
Location: 25120 Highway 107; Jacksonville, Arkansas
Hours: 7 p.m.-midnight
Price: $15 general, $20 V.I.P. pass

A multi-attraction haunted house as well as “bloody paintball.” Fear Factory 501 is open Oct. 10, 11, 16, 18, 22-31, and Nov. 1.
4. Creepy Works Haunted House of Conway
Location: 150 Highway 286; East Conway, Arkansas
Hours: 7 p.m.-midnight

According to the Creepy Works website, this haunted house “strives to provide realism and distort a person’s psyche.” It is open Oct. 10, 11, 16-18, 22-31 and Nov. 1.
5. Haunted Hotel

Twenty five to 30 live monsters roam the Haunted Hotel so that guests are met with surprises around every corner. It is open Monday-Saturday, Oct. 16-Nov. 2.
