The Harding University men’s basketball team defeated University of Arkansas-Monticello Saturday, 66-57 at the Rhodes Field House in Searcy, Ark.With Harding being 4th in the standings in the Gulf South Conference, the atmosphere in the Rhodes Field House was electric as fans cheered the Bisons on to a victory in what has to be one of the most intense games of the season for the Bisons.In the game, the Harding Bisons had 12 turnovers, four blocks and three steasl. They completed 24 of 53 shots and 7 of 16 three-point attempts.Junior Kevin Brown completed 8 of 12 field goal attempts and was 4 for 5 on his free throws. Junior Stephen Blake went 5 for 8 on his field goal attempts, 3 for 4 on 3-point attempts, and 4 for 4 on free throws.”Going in to the second half we need to rebound better,” Coach Jeff Morgan said. “Against a team like UAM, rebounding is very important in keeping ahead and winning.”The Bisons will play Monday February, 22, at 7:30 p.m. at the Rhodes Field House in Searcy, Ark., against the University of North Alabama.
