Members of social clubs Ko Jo Kai and Ju Go Ju left the dorms at 5:30 a.m. Saturday and headed to downtown Little Rock to “fight like girls.”The club members participated in the ArkansasWalk for the Cure, keeping in step with the university’sweekend festivities that have focused on breast cancer awareness.Walk for the Cureis a 5K walk to support breast cancer awareness, sponsored by theSusan G. Koman foundation.While the Harding women were not able top the world record 14-minute, 11-second time, the 46-degree weather failed to keep them from reaching and finishing their goal.All Ju Go Ju and Ko Jo Kai members crossed the finish line in under an hour-and-a-half before they made the drive back to campus and away from the crowds.Officials are reporting more than 50,000 people participated in today’s 5K walk.
