Life has more to offer than money, fame, cars and other materials people value so highly today. I believe our world is consumed with these material items, and lets them take priority over what really should drive your pursuit to a successful life.
Harding University is one of a handful of private Christian institutes in the United States. Unlike other universities around the world, Harding sets certain standards that many students would deem senseless, mundane and overdone.
I feel as if Harding provides each student with a gift of love, compassion and faith that can be utilized in our future. As a Christian, we devote our lives to being faithful not only to God, but to our loved ones. Harding teaches these qualities not only through education, but through the attitudes of teachers, staff and faculty that surround this campus.
Each Bible class I have taken has been beneficial, but one in particular has shown to be the most influential. Christian Families is one class offered here at Harding that teaches you not only about God, but how God should be involved in your life, your marriage and your family at all times. The class prepares you to handle any situation whether good or bad by letting God be a part of your life.
A successful life doesn’t involve how much money you make, what car you drive or even all the valuables you own. Life is about living for others, to show all the traits God implanted in our Savior Christ Jesus. Now I’m not trying to preach, but these traits are exactly what Harding brings to our attention. Harding provides several opportunities to get involved in the work of God through fundraisers, missions trips and frequent involvement inside the Searcy community.
This faith-driven university has put God above all else where he should be, and by doing that Harding continues to help populate this world with great Christian leaders regardless of their future occupations.
I strongly believe after attending a university such as Harding, you do not come out with just a degree, and you also gain a great knowledge of God that will carry with you through life’s struggles and triumphs.
