“What brought you to Harding?”
“Track brought me here. If it were not for Coach Guymon, I would not be here. He is such a nice, thoughtful and caring person. I just had to be on his track team.”
“Who is your mentor and why?”
“My mentor is definitely Portia Bell. I have always looked up to her. She always has the best advice and we can easily relate when it comes to track stuff.”
“How have the friendships built through track impacted your life?”
“I love my track team. We love like sisters, but we also fight like sisters. We push each other because we know we can be a great team. We have a lot of good athletes and I would not trade them for anything.”
“What do you like to do in your spare time?”
“Sleep. I have to have my nap time.”
“What is your favorite thing about Harding?”
“I think it would have to be the people here at Harding. Everyone is always so friendly and considerate”
“If you could be a coach at Harding, who would you be and why?”
“I would so take Coach Guy- mon’s job. How fun would it be to be a college track coach? I love being on his track team, so I know I would enjoy making other athletes love the sport as much as I do.
“Do you have any traditions before meets?”
“Well, I have to shave my legs the night before. I have to make them wind resistant (insert winky face here.) I also have a warm-up routine I have to do before each event. I also have to tie my right shoe before I tie the left one.”
