Students started lining up in the Benson lobby around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday to purchase Spring Sing tickets when they went on sale at 1 p.m., hoping to be the first in line to purchase their friends and families the best seats in the house.
Spring Sing, Harding’s annual variety show, will take place Easter weekend, April 1-3. Ticket prices are $10, $12 and $15, and can be purchased online at hardingtickets.universitytickets.com
“My parents are really supportive,” sophomore Amanda Herren said. “They wanted me to get tickets early so they can have the best seats.”
Students passed the time standing in line by practicing their routines for this year’s show. A group of Pi Theta Phi club members practiced part of the choreography from their show about rock stars. Other club shows include: Bumblebees, Cops and Robbers, Safari, Bollywood, and Little Kids Soccer Game.
The theme of Spring Sing 2010 is “International.”
For the first time in the show’s history, four men — Sam Barker, Nate White, Stephen McBride and Cameron Frazier — will host the show.
“It’s a cool experience to be working together because we have all been in musicals and plays, and we’re friends,” White said. “We are able to play off each other’s creativity and really get to know each other on a personal level.”
