Covenant Fellowship Church, along with other churches in the Searcy area, got together for a day of service in the community Sunday, Oct. 25. They called their day of service “outside the walls.” Some were on prayer walks in the neighborhoods, others worked at a nursing home and another group was to help clean up a house on Park Street.
Those coming from Covenant were meeting for lunch at 11 a.m. before they divided to go work in the different groups. Upon arriving for lunch, they were informed that the house they were intended to help clean up had burned down Saturday night and was now a crime scene for supposed arson.
More on this story coming soon.
