“Faculty, staff, and limited number of students began receiving the vaccine in January, and have been able to get a closer look at what that process entails.
Here at Harding, the vaccine is being administered to faculty above 65 and to nursing students who are starting their clinical training this semester.
Regardless of age or whether people have received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, many report experiencing a sore arm after each dose and some even experience flu-like symptoms about 24 hours after the second dose.
Those symptoms include a fever, chills, body aches, and nausea and they typically subside after 24 to 48 hours.
Many who have been vaccinated expressed excitement and a sense of duty towards getting the vaccine, and believe that it is the next step in ending the pandemic.”
