Race Ave. Its convenience is nice for students and faculty looking to grab a quick bite on a lunch break.

The $4.95 (with student discount) all-you-can-eat buffet is filled with delicious pizza of all flavors. My personal favorite is the original pepperoni pizza, but the turkey-bacon-ranch came in a close second. The buffet also includes a green salad that you can top with shredded cheese, cubed ham, onions, bacon bits, croutons and numerous other toppings along with any dressing that suits your fancy.

Bailey’s Pizza also provides customers with a loyalty card, and after nine buffet purchases, you receive your 10th for free, and who doesn’t love free things?

The wait staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. They supplied endless amounts of pizza to all of their customers, and I wanted to keep eating because it was so delicious.

So fellas, if you are looking for a place to take that girl you have been eyeing in class, I give Bailey’s the stamp of approval.

On the other hand, Marco’s Pizza is a more upscale choice. Marco’s is a little bit further from campus, located at 1221 W. Beebe Capps Expressway, so it could be a nice getaway. Marco’s has an $8.99 special on their 1-topping pizzas, which of course I indulged in and got the pepperoni pizza. This was an excellent choice as their dough was hand-tossed right in front of my eyes. The pizza was fresh out of the oven, so the pepperoni and cheese struggled to stay on the pizza as I anxiously bit into it. After I gave it a chance to cool down, the pizza was heavenly.

Marco’s offers free wi-fi if you would like to stuff your face while finishing up assignments. Although Marco’s can be a little pricey for us college students that are on a shoestring budget, it is very convenient that they offer delivery and run specials frequently.

Don’t forget about the other pizza places in town. These include Little Caesar’s, Mazzio’s, Papa John’s, Brick Oven Pizza, Dominoes and Pizza Hut.

We, as college students, are the customers these businesses are fighting over, which is the best possible sotuation to be in because that means more discounts and deals for us.

So next time you go out to eat, don’t be shy about sporting that Harding ID and asking for a discount because you, my friend, are one valued customer.

For a full list of Searcy restaurants that offer student discounts, visit thelink.harding.edu or follow @HUStudentPubs on Twitter.

If you have driven around Searcy, you may have noticed that while students were gone over the summer, the city has grown more in the direction of Little Italy.
