More than this, she has met their approval by marrying instead of seeking a business career. She is pleasant at all times.<\/div>\n<div><strong>This was the &#8216;Harding Woman&#8217; in 1929. Meet the some of the Harding women of 2010 below along with some rules that make curfew seem like a cakewalk!<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><em><\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong>Miss Danielle Baker<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Danielle Baker does not &#8220;tolerate any mess.&#8221; This Campus Activities Board secretay with a shining nose stud and hair curled to perfection always knows what is happening on campus first. A McNair Scholar and lover of chocolate brown and teal, Danielle loves the thrill of a good sale. Danielle, who is in Delta Gamma Rhoh, has been a part of the Impact Steering Committee for the past two years. She is an avid reader and also enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and accepts only the best.<\/div>\n<div><strong><em>Miss Gabriella Marcellini<\/em><\/strong>President of the Honors Council, Gabby \u2014 as she is known to her friends \u2014 is also an executive vice president of the American Studies Institute, secretary for Omicron Delta Kappa and a member of the Multi-Cultural Student Action Committee. With dark glossy curls and an even temper, Gabby is also a jetsetter, having been to 18 countries on five continents. When she is not traveling, she loves to plan events and sing. You can see her getting her &#8220;Charleston&#8221; on in &#8220;Thoroughly Modern Millie.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div><strong><em>Miss Flor Ramos<\/em><\/strong>Translated as &#8220;Flower Branches,&#8221; Flor Ramos is one spicy Walton scholar. Flor spends time working with the Jesus Project, Smiles for Christ, Multi-Cultural Student Action Committee, National Broadcasting Society and Omicron Delta Kappa. Flor loves to eat papusas, a traditional food of El Salvador, and likes the color blue. This service-minded ball of energy knows her way around a camera and can always get you to smile.<\/div>\n<div><strong><em>Miss Amber Roe<\/em><\/strong>Free spirit Amber Roe describes herself as a girl with &#8220;stars in my eyes for the next big thing.&#8221; You can find her in Midnight Oil writing poetry. Tanned and freckled, Amber doesn&#8217;t own a driver&#8217;s license but loves to hike. Amber, a member of HUmanity, has a love for singing in the stairwells of the English building. Decidedly forthright, this whimsical girl always wants to learnsomeone else&#8217;s story.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Social Regulations for Pattie Cobb: 1943-1947<\/strong>1. The young ladies are permitted to have social engagements at the following hours:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sunday morning at church and then at the dormitory until lunch is over<\/li>\n<li>Sunday afternoon, 3 to 5<\/li>\n<li>Sunday evening, 7:15 until returning directly from church<\/li>\n<li>Monday night meeting<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday evening prayer meeting in town<\/li>\n<li>Every other Saturday evening, 7 to 10 (Alternating Saturdays,supper until 7 p.m.)<\/li>\n<li>Sitting in swings, talking, playing tennis, etc., is permissible any time on the grounds during daytime<\/li>\n<li>Other times only by special permission<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2.Couples taking Sunday afternoon walks are requested to walk no other place than the residence district of town. Students are asked to go in groups of no fewer than six, remaining together until they return from walking.3.When couples are walking to town for ball games, church or other functions at night, they are requested to walk in a group, with approved sponsor, unless special permission has been granted.4.When couples eat together in the dining hall, they are asked to leave the tables as soon as the meal is finished, and not to extend the social hour by loitering at the tables or in the dining hall after meals.5.Couples returning from church or other places at night are permitted to come by the College Inn for refreshments but are urged not to abuse this privilege by taking more time than is necessary. (This applies to nights when we have study hour.)
