Club vice presidents, who typically bear induction week responsibilities, are especially relieved.Senior Billie Peters, vice president of Shantih social club, chronicles below her efforts throughout the induction process.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>April 2009 \u2014Officers are voted into place.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The next day \u2014 Vice presidents and pledge masters start working on club books.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Summer 2009 \u2014 Making Club Week schedule and organizing mixers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>First week of school, 2009 \u2014 Reserving rooms for mixers and club activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Every Tuesday \u2014 Inter-Club Council meetings with Corey McEntyre, director of student activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Thousands of photocopies in the library, double sided of course<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul><\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A T-shirt design created<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Memorizing names of new inductees<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Arriving early to all Club Week events \u2014 4:45-10:45p.m. Sunday through Friday<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>1 a.m. runs to Walmart and Walgreens<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Attend classes, classes, classes, sith in the student center. Lunch is skipped, maybe even dinner if someone doesn&#8217;t run to Sonic for you<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Delegating<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Cheers for nightly all-club devotional by noon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Making old members happy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Making sure new members are not being mistreated<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Making sure new members know their stuff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Grading inductees tests<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The overwhelming urge to quit every day<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Rough Night and preparation for its activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>One minute after Rough Night is over \u2014 relief. &#8220;Relief that the week is over, that the planning is over, that you&#8217;re just another member again,&#8221; says Shantih VP Jonelle Taylor.
