Frank Bolling and JT Hill tied for votes \u2014 125 each \u2014 in Tuesday’s President for a Day election, an event that allows a student to serve in university President David Burks’ role for one day, while Burks takes on a student schedule.Instead of a revote, the Student Association, the sponsor of the event, decided to allow both students to serve as presidents for a day on Wednesday.Bolling and Hill started their day in office by making chapel announcements while Burks sat in Bolling’s regular chapel seat in section 100 of the auditorium.”In our first official duty as presidents, we have extended curfew until 12:01,” Hill joked in chapel.Nate Copeland, assistant to the president \u2014 or presidents in this case, quickly responded: “That’s not true.”Bolling also held up a pair of cross country shorts at the podium, reminding Burks that he must wear them to cross-country practice later that day.Bolling and Hill will have a full schedule, similar to Burks’ regular schedule.
