Several of Harding’s art students are getting an early start networking their work online through a Web site calledModern Skeleton<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The creator, Tripp Radcliffe, was inspired to start showcasing some of his own art online while working atLittle Rock art gallery, M2<\/a>, last summer.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n “I got to see how Mac Murphy, the owner of M2, operated his gallery,” Radcliffe said. “I thought, \u2018I have a bunch of friends who are artists- why not try to market them now?'” Since then, he has purchased the domain name for the gallery-blog site, which will be called Modern Skeleton, and he has recruited five other artists to submit their work for sale. Because the site is still under construction, the artists are currently focusing on producing artwork to sell, as well as updating the blog portion of the site.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The blog will inform customers of sales, company progress, and any stories behind the art. “Once the official site is up,” Radcliffe said, “which should be around late January, we will work on getting it in search engines, passing our business cards, and maybe even networking to names from a database list.”<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Modern Skeleton will use Paypal to sell an impressive assortment of art mediums, from a handful of different artists. Paige Walton, an art education major, will showcase her ceramics on the site. From the online gallery, customers are able to visither blog<\/a>, which she uses to update her readers and clients about new projects.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n “It’s all a work in progress,” Radcliffe said abouthis online gallery. ” It’s just a foot-in-the-door experience right now.
