Some of our friends found Bella and her brother on the side of the road. Our friends called us and said they found a dog that may interest us.

What is your dog’s favorite thing about Harding?

Bella lived with us in Porto Rafti, Greece, for four years, and her favorite place was always by the water. She liked playing around in the water. She also loves people, and I think she’s sad she’s not with people all the time anymore.

Does your dog have a favorite toy?

Bella loves tennis balls. She’s a simple dog. She will carry it around in her mouth all the time like a safety blanket.

What is your favorite thing to do with your dog?

Bella loves to go on walks, give hugs and play fetch.

Can your dog do any fun tricks?

Bella can flip a treat from her nose into the air and catch it in her mouth. She can also shake your hand and give you a fist bump.

Do you have any funny stories about your dog?

Bella was never allowed on our furniture while we lived in Searcy before we left for Greece. When we were in Greece, I came through the lobby one day and saw Bella on one of the benches in the lobby. I told Bella to get down, and Vicky Tsakou, the secretary and Greek teacher at HUG, said “No, no, no! I feel like she is company with me!” So, we let Bella sit only on the benches in the lobby while in Greece. When we moved back to Searcy in December 2018, she was on the kitchen bench while Vicky visited, because that was what she was used to doing. So, I guess Bella thought, “Since Vicky is here, I can get on the furniture because that’s what I am used to doing.” Last week, I caught her on Ann-Clayton’s bed, which is a big no-no because she sheds like crazy. We don’t want to sleep on a bed full of dog hair.

Does your dog have a favorite study spot on campus or place to relax?

Bella’s favorite place to be is right between the couch and our calves while we are sitting on the couch. She loves to be with people every single minute.

Does your dog have a favorite Harding holiday?

Bella’s favorite holiday in Greece was the first day because of all the new smells. Our favorite holiday was Toga Day because we loved seeing Bella in a toga. Now, her favorite holiday is when previous HUG students come to the house, and she reconnects with her old smells.

Bella Rose Beason Golden Retriever Owner: Clay, Loren and Ann-Clayton Beason, former directors of HUG How did you and your dog meet? Bella is from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and we lived…

[136

post-12497","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-lifestyle
["GET
