How did you and your dog meet?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

My friend has a service dog, and I was at first interested in training Biscuit to be a service dog. I stopped training him because he intuitively did the same things a therapy dog would do anyway. Biscuit also provides therapy to students by reading students\u2019 emotions and reacting appropriately. Once I learned the power that dogs like that could have, I knew I needed a dog like that here.<\/p>\n

What is your dog’s favorite thing about Harding?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Everybody stopping at the back fence [behind Pattie Cobb Hall] and petting him.<\/p>\n

Does your dog have a favorite toy?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

He does not have any favorite toys, but I guess my children would be his favorite toy.<\/p>\n

What is your favorite thing to do with your dog?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

My favorite thing to do with Biscuit is to watch him interact with students. Biscuit also loves to play fetch; he could play it all day long.<\/p>\n

Can your dog do any fun tricks?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Biscuit knows a certain command called \u201cGo home.\u201d When Biscuit hears me say that, he will walk back into his room with his tail tucked.<\/p>\n

Do you have any funny stories about your dog?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

When Biscuit gets super excited about anyone that is here [in the dorm lobby,] he just pees. It\u2019s a \u201chappy tinkle.\u201d<\/p>\n

Does your dog have a favorite study spot on campus or place to relax?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Biscuit loves to sit in the chair at the front desk. He will sit there at attention as if he is doing desk duty. He\u2019s a desk worker.<\/p>\n

Does your dog have a favorite Harding holiday?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Biscuit\u2019s favorite Harding holiday is move in weekend. He loves seeing all the residents, the residents\u2019 siblings, their parents, their grandparents, everyone.<\/p>\n
