April 22 during his self-titled tour. Nick Jonas, member of The Jonas Brothers, spent much of his early adulthood working on his solo career, after him and the band stopped performing together and confirmed their decision to split in 2013.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The tour, beginning April 10, is Nick Jonas\u2019 second solo tour in the U.S. since becoming a successful solo artist. His third solo album, \u201cLast Year Was Complicated,\u201d became a multi-platinum and Grammy-nominated album in 2014 which included two hit singles, \u201cJealous\u201d and \u201cChains,\u201d that swiftly topped the U.S. charts at No.1.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In their teens, the Jonas Brothers gained fame for their music and appearances in Disney Channel movies such as the \u201cCamp Rock\u201d trilogy and their own television show, \u201cJonas L.A.\u201d It was during that era that many current college students, also in their teens at the time, were big fans of the trio.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In a 2016 interview with Huffington Post, the eldest \u201cJo Bro,\u201d Kevin Jonas, discussed the strain that was put on him and his brothers as a family unit because they were never able to get a break from one another. After the split, the brothers were allowed more freedom in their career paths to pursue their individual goals.<\/p>\n<p>The split came in a time of realizing they were \u201cdifferent people\u201d from when they began their careers together. The brothers\u2019 relationship is \u201cmuch better, stronger\u201d since they have matured in their own careers according to Kevin Jonas.<\/p>\n<p>Students have continued to express their excitement for the concert since it was announced in late March. For freshman Alli Morris, Nick Jonas has always been her favorite Jonas brother as a single artist, although she is still upset the trio broke up.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Morris\u2019 favorite song by Jonas is \u201cBacon,\u201d and she, along with a few other friends, purchased tickets as soon as they were open to the public for purchase.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Freshman Jaycie Fowlkes has also been a Nick Jonas fan since the beginning. Fowlkes described The Jonas Brothers\u2019 split as tragic.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cSeeing them in concert in fifth grade was possibly the greatest highlight of my life,\u201d Fowlkes said. \u201cNick is and always has been incredibly talented, beautiful and just the best, and I am absolutely pumped to see him in concert again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jonas is set to perform on Sunday, April 22 at the University of Central Arkansas Farris Center.
