The St. Louis Brass quintet is bring 46 years of brass tradition and experience to Harding University Thursday as part of the Classical Lyceum Series.
The group is one of the nation’s top brass performing and instructing groups, said Cliff Ganus, professor of music and director of choral activities at Harding.
“They have been doing this for a long time and really know what audiences enjoy,” Ganus said.
The quintet will be performing a variety of music, Ganus said, including “Tribute to Pops,” “Wolfang’s Frolics” and “Animal Ditties.”
“It will be entertaining, informative and enjoyable,” Ganus said. “It’s not your ordinary concert.”
The show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $3. As an added treat for local brass players, St. Louis Brass is also offering a free workshop Thursday at 3 p.m. in the Reynolds Center.
