A new talent at Harding is making a name for himself.
It all started when his older brother made him start playing the guitar so they could sing a duet together. Hisguitar playing has grown into something truly inspirational, according to fans.
“I want to bless people with my music,” Yoder said. “I want to make music that people and I can enjoy.”
Last month, Yoder released his first album, “An Awkward Introduction (an EP).” Yoder said it was an “awkward” introduction because it is his debut album, and did not know what to expect.
The album features six songs: “Crash Course,” “Never Die,” Just Like a Villain,” “My Tree,” “Grave Digger” and “Man on the Moon.”

“My personal favorite is probably ‘Man on the Moon,'” Yoder said. “‘Never Die’ seems to be the most popular song.”
Yoder said he did not plan on writing music and then releasing it to the public, but what made him finally release his talent publicly was the encouragement he received from friends.
“I was initially just going to put it on Facebook and have people listen to it on there,” Yoder said. “But my brother and a couple of his friends thought they should make a group and build hype, then release it.”
An eclectic group of bands, including Switchfoot, Anberlin and Joshua Radin, inspire his music, Yoder said. If he had to choose an artist to compare himself to it would be Michelangelo, he said with a smile.
