I love how music can express what words often cannot, and how that is true across the centuries. I have played the piano since the age of 9, and it has never gotten old or boring to me. It is awesome to be able to share that experience with an audience. One thing that I have loved about my time at Harding is that I’ve been able to learn to play jazz piano. That’s been like learning another language, and I love it. Jazz music is bringing out a new perspective in my musicianship that has been a lot of fun. The thing about jazz is, there are basically no rules — you have so much freedom to let go and let the music become your voice.I also play the clarinet, guitar, violin, harmonica, and flute, and I like to sing. Writing music is one of my hobbies, though I don’t really have any big plans to become a song-writer or anything. I’m hoping to move somewhere in Latin America after I graduate and get involved in the music scene there as a vocational mission. Thanks for visiting my profile!Upcoming Events:Junior Recital with Austin Jenkins — March 25, 3 p.m., Reynolds Recital Hall
