For the second year in a row, Harding University’s Ultimate Frisbee team, Harding Apocalypse, will play in the regional tournament this weekend in Austin, Texas.
“We are going in as the 10th seed out of 16 teams,” Captian Taren Goins said. “We have high hopes this weekend.”The team’s first game this weekend will be against the University of Texas, who will have home field advantage. Texas went onto nationals last year and did well.”We are playing some of the top teams in the nation,” Goins said. “Some of them we have defeated before.”Harding Apocalypse will also face Universities from Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, Alabama and Oklahoma.If the team gets in the top two this weekend, Harding Apocalypse will go to nationals in Madison, Wis. The team has never made it to nationals.
