When most people hear the words \u201ccopy editors,\u201d they\u2019re confused. The words don\u2019t seem to go together,\u00a0but a copy editor is one of the most important positions on a publication staff. A copy editor edits stories and layouts for AP Style, grammar, spelling and publication-specific style.<\/p>\n

Copy editors are the ones that correct all of our mistakes, and we\u2019re eternally grateful for them. They make the Petit Jean a beautifully read publication.<\/p>\n

Alex is a senior public relations major from Amarillo, Texas. She is obsessed with the sky, Criminal Minds and all kinds of dogs. Her dream job is to be Justin Timberlake\u2019s publicist.<\/p>\n

Rachel is an English major who spends most of her time reading literature and writing papers. If she\u2019s not reading or writing, she\u2019s taking pictures, dreaming of future travel plans or listening to Beyonc\u00e9. Rachel plans on moving to New York City after she graduates.
